Arielle Schwartz
While seeking counselling is not the first step in your healing journey, it means a part of you is ready for something different, and so welcome.
Many people come to counselling to figure out their problems, and yet the transformational piece of counselling is often the re-connection to themselves as they experience space to express themselves fully. It is my honour to hold that space for people as new beliefs and emotions come to light.
As a survivor of complex trauma, and having sat with those navigating childhood, episodic, and intergenerational trauma, my biggest learning has been in the power of a healthy attachment relationship to heal the nervous system, so that what we want in life becomes possible.
My approach blends the Neuro-Affective Relational Model, Emotion Focused Therapy and Mindful Self-Compassion. I strive to be culturally sensitive, gender inclusive, body positive, and trauma-informed.
My areas of specialty are pre- and post-natal adjustment, childhood neglect, religious trauma, disordered eating, and unhealthy relational patterns.
You are welcome to book a free consultation to ask any questions and get a feel for counselling.
